Data deletion

How to delete your account, your organisation and the data of your tools and store apps: from ChatStaff or by email, what is deleted and when.

Last updated: 20 October 2026.

This page explains how to delete the data ChatStaff keeps for you: your account, your organisation, and the data from the tools and store apps you connected (Google, HubSpot, Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp). It is also the data deletion instructions page for Meta.

1. From the application

The owner of the organisation can delete everything themselves:

  1. Sign in to ChatStaff.
  2. Open Settings › Security, then "Delete the organisation".
  3. Download your data if you want to keep it ("Export data" button).
  4. Type the name of the organisation to confirm, then "Schedule deletion".

What happens right away: your agents stop, approved sends that have not gone out yet are cancelled and the connections to your tools are revoked. Members keep read access for 14 days, during which the deletion can be cancelled. At the end of this period, the organisation's data is deleted.

To remove a single tool without deleting the organisation, open Settings › Connected tools and click "Disconnect": our access to that tool is removed.

2. By email

You can also request deletion by writing to contact@chatstaff.app, from the email address of your ChatStaff account, with the subject "Data deletion". Include:

  • the name of your organisation;
  • what you want deleted: the whole account, or the data of a specific tool (for example Facebook or Shopify);
  • for a store app, the address of the store or website.

We acknowledge your request and may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within one month at most, as set out in our privacy policy.

3. What is deleted

  • your account and those of the organisation's members;
  • the connections to your tools and their access tokens;
  • the store app installations and their tokens;
  • files, documents, drafts, proposals and work history;
  • the data read from your tools (emails, contacts, orders, posts and more).

What the law requires us to keep: invoices and accounting records, kept 10 years in a separate space without business content, and the audit log for the period stated in the privacy policy. Backups are overwritten according to their rotation cycle, at most 35 days (to be confirmed).

4. Timing and confirmation

  • From the application: deletion becomes final 14 days after your request. The screen shows the scheduled date.
  • By email: once your identity is confirmed, we schedule the deletion with the same 14-day period, then confirm by email that the deletion is done.

On request to contact@chatstaff.app, we confirm in writing the date your data was deleted.

5. Store apps

Uninstalling a ChatStaff app from your store or website deactivates the installation, deletes its tokens and revokes the tool connection created by that installation:

  • Shopify: Settings › Apps, then uninstall ChatStaff;
  • HubSpot: Settings › Integrations › Connected apps, then uninstall ChatStaff;
  • WordPress and WooCommerce: Plugins, deactivate then delete ChatStaff;
  • PrestaShop: module manager, uninstall then delete ChatStaff, or delete the ChatStaff Webservice key.

Your organisation's work data stays in ChatStaff after uninstalling. To delete it, follow section 1 or section 2.

6. Meta data (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp)

  1. In ChatStaff, open Settings › Connected tools and disconnect Facebook, Instagram, Meta ads or WhatsApp Business: the stored token is deleted.
  2. In Facebook, open Settings and privacy › Settings › Business integrations, then remove ChatStaff.
  3. To also delete data already processed (prepared posts, statistics, messages received), follow section 1 or write to contact@chatstaff.app with the subject "Meta data deletion".

7. Google data

Disconnect the Google service in Settings › Connected tools, which removes our access, or remove access from your Google account (myaccount.google.com/permissions). To delete data already processed, follow section 1 or section 2. Details are in the Google data section of the privacy policy.

8. Contact

For any question: contact@chatstaff.app or the Contact page.
